I had a wonderful afternoon hanging out with Steph and Ryan in Atlantic Station on Tuesday! They celebrate their one year anniversary on December 1 and wanted to have some pictures taken as a gift to themselves. These are my two favorites of the day:
Being a writer and a poet as well as a photographer, there is an unmistakeable joy that I feel when I open a brand new notebook. It is a simple pleasure, but nonetheless one that seems to renew my spirit each time I experience it. Each clean, white page holds the promise of being filled with adventures and memories, stories and wisdom. It gives me the ability to remember life's experiences as they were (or at least the way I thought they were at the time). A journal, much like a photograph, tells a story as witnessed by its author.
With this in mind, you cannot believe that I would be any less excited about having this new blog. I see it as an opportunity to build relationships and to document the growth and development of my photographic skill, as well as serve as a place where others can experience part of my story, both by reading the posts and viewing the images I put here.
